Position: City Senior Financial Planning Role
Take the next step as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, supporting the City’s budgeting process for 15 months in a full-time role. Your expertise will guide financial strategies and analysis.

This critical position involves comprehensive capital budget management and support, focusing on variance analysis, report preparation, and strategic financial recommendations. You will engage with city programs, external stakeholders, and senior management to ensure effective financial planning and adherence to policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and report on capital budget performance

• Prepare policy papers and briefing notes for decision-making

• Manage adjustments to the City’s in-year capital budget

• Collaborate on financial management training initiatives

• Lead special projects related to financial planning

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in finance or public administration

• Extensive experience in budgeting and financial analysis

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and SAP

• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
