Director, Capital Markets Financial Reporting

CIBC is seeking a Director of Capital Markets Accounting in Toronto, focused on ensuring precise financial reporting and compliance within our Capital Markets team. Drive efficiency and accuracy in a dynamic environment.

As a key leader in Capital Markets Controllership, you will supervise a dedicated team while reporting to the Capital Markets Controller. This role involves steering financial accuracy and supporting comprehensive accounting practices while collaborating across departments to develop effective solutions. You will spearhead improvements, manage relationships, and ensure alignment with CIBC’s financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Provide leadership on internal controls and governance

• Collaborate extensively with key finance stakeholders

• Implement process enhancements and strategic initiatives

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in capital markets accounting

• CPA or CFA accreditation essential

• Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory standards

• Excellent relationship management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
