Job Overview
The role is part of North American Business and Client Services that supports pre‑ and post‑trade deal processing for the RBC Capital Markets Money Markets trading business and its clients. It ensures trades are captured and that the confirmation and settlement functions are performed within regulatory guidelines and market best practice principles, providing a seamless client experience.
Responsibilities- Responsible for confirmation and settlement of all MM trades
- Process all transactions in accordance with bank rules, standing orders, circulars, laid‑down procedures and local requirements
- Complete daily processing and settlement tasks in a timely and accurate manner, following established procedures and standing orders of RBC
- Conduct intra‑ and EOD checks daily, identifying and escalating any outstanding issues as appropriate
- Provide relief support and other duties as assigned on all functions performed across the teams
- Maintain effective communication channels with both Front Office and internal Global BCS colleagues as well as other functions
- Escalate issues and risks to management
- Identify key areas for improvement and development to create operational efficiencies
- Prepare monthly attestation PEGA and ESOD
- Seek to mitigate and minimize risks
- Basic working knowledge of SWIFT, Real Time Payment Systems, International Settlement Rules, industry codes and best practices
- Basic understanding of operational risk, impacts and preventive control framework
- Minimum of 1‑3 years in a financial services role
- Ability to perform analysis of business processes
- Ability to work on statutory holidays and in shift hours
- Strong PC skills
- Flexible and adaptable to different work‑related situations
- Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines while demonstrating a calm, logical approach to the situation
