Associate Mortgage Underwriter at First National

Elevate your career as an Associate Mortgage Underwriter with First National in Toronto, ON. This full-time role focuses on third party residential underwriting, client interactions, and document verification.

In this full-time position, you will report to the Manager, Third Party Residential Underwriting.

Your role will involve establishing relationships with mortgage brokers and ensuring due diligence in documentation verification. Previous experience in the financial services sector, especially the mortgage industry, is highly preferred and beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish relationships with mortgage brokers for loyalty

• Maintain contacts with mortgage insurers, appraisers, and solicitors

• Collect required documents to satisfy mortgage conditions

• Review documentation for accuracy and compliance

• Escalate issues to Underwriter for review and resolution

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Experience in Financial Services preferred

• Background in Mortgage industry is an asset

• Knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment

• Completion of Mortgage Agent Course is valuable
