Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Financial Compliance, Risk Manager/Analyst
Why this role is important to us
You will act as a key contributor to the Canada and United States Asset Owner Client Service teams within Investor Services, with a focus on supporting tactical and strategic governance and project management across a variety of disciplines.
What you will be responsible forAs Oversight Control, AVP you will:
- Be responsible for Client Service’s Billing Governance Program overseeing millions of dollars in aged receivables and the quarterly reserves, working closely with Finance Controllers, Billing, Client Service, Relationship Management, and Canada and Asst Owner Portfolio Leads. You will act as an SME, produce regular reporting, follow up with owners, and identify and elevate issues.
- Lead key risk initiatives for the Canada and US Asset Owner teams through BAU risk/compliance maintenance and monitoring and project managing issue‑specific remediation projects. This includes acting as the First Line of Defense (FLOD) representative for the team, maintaining the regular governance process on AML periodic reviews, and acting as the FTTOP Practitioner (SME) for the business. You will participate in various working groups and governance forums on these topics.
- Oversee client service’s inputs to Canada Common Reporting Standard (CRS) & FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) Tax reporting process to ensure compliance with standards for Canadian Financial Institutions.
- Be responsible for supporting projects in a variety of capacities and disciplines based on the key initiatives of the client service team. While there will be a focus on Risk & Compliance initiatives, other disciplines could include operating model, people strategy, client‑specific remediations, process improvement, etc. This role may also be asked to perform business analysis, strategy planning and governance, and ad‑hoc project activities as needed.
- Regularly interact with client service teams located across the US and Canada, Delivery Partners, Relationship Managers, Business Risk & Compliance teams, Billing, Legal, Tax, and other divisions.

- Proven track record of strong project management performance, PMP certification a plus
- Capable of thinking strategically and analytically with a demonstrated ability to drive execution
- Acts with a high level of responsiveness
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business groups and levels of the organization while also acting independently
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi‑task
- Self‑motivated, strong work ethic
- Agile and adaptable to change
- Ability to quickly and effectively absorb new concepts and business knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience preferred
- PMP certification, or desire to achieve PMP certification, desired but not a requirement
$91,000 - $140,500 Annual
