Operations Officer

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Operations Officer. The position is responsible for providing broad operational support within the Operations & Technology team, ensuring service levels and business objectives are met through accurate processing, transaction management, reconciliation, and internal collaboration. The role offers opportunities for extension and potential conversion based on performance and business needs.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr

• Post banking transactions, including debit and credit entries, in high‑compliance environments
• Perform daily reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Meet high‑volume SLA requirements consistently
• Interact primarily with internal teams to ensure seamless processing and issue resolution
• Ensure all processing and inquiries are handled within established standards and service levels
• Support internal partner relationships and contribute to operational effectiveness
• Follow audit and process guidelines to prepare for satisfactory audit outcomes
• Identify risks and elevate issues as necessary
• Stay current with process and technology improvements and adapt accordingly
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate changing policies and procedures

• 2‑4 years of banking/financial experience in retail banking (candidate has 4 years)
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word (4 years)
• Experience with reconciliation processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of MM and FX products (e.g., options, foreign exchange spots and forwards, money market deposits and loans)
• Knowledge of global and WSS platforms is advantageous

• Risk and compliance background (4 years)
• Experience with cash products such as loans, deposits, swaps, and forwards
• Knowledge of additional banking platforms or software
