Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Corporate Segment Finance team. This individual will be responsible for providing financial analysis, lead the planning and forecasting cycles, monthly review of actual and forecasts against plan, provide advice and support Enterprise Marketing Organization. Additionally, this position works closely with partners on corporate and segment Finance teams supporting reporting and forecasting within Marketing.
The ideal candidate has several years experience providing analytical and advisory support to business partners, is a self starter and is self‑motivated.
- Perform the role of business advisor to Marketing leaders and their teams by working to develop and review cost center financials. Additionally, this individual will provide financial expertise and oversight to ensure financial and accounting standards are followed and properly reflected within our reporting system.
- Manage financial aspects of project tracking and reporting for the assigned projects portfolio, ensuring alignment to annual fiscal budget and realization of expected benefits.
- Provide financial planning, reporting and forecasting and preparation of executive presentations in order to communicate results, including:
- Monthly reporting and analysis of expenses – monitor financial performance, provide variance analysis, understanding and insightful commentary.
- Monthly and quarterly forecasting – know the business and provide meaningful insights for lines of business to make informed and effective business decisions.
- Support the annual planning process for Corporate and Segment expenses including base and project budgets.
- Provide thought leadership and drive change by improving project data governance & process, building stronger relationships with key business partners and the development of new value‑added project analytics.
- Deliver ad hoc analyses and participate in initiatives on behalf of the Corporate Segment Finance team. Provide training as required to aid partner understandings.
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages productivity, innovation, creativity, teamwork, analysis and advice – act as a role model.
- Work with technology to automate reporting capabilities and implement controls for reporting accuracy.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders (Segment Finance Partners, TS, Operations, Shared Services, Business Management, Governance, etc.).
Corporate Segment Finance is responsible for developing and delivering financial strategy, information and management support to the corporate areas of TD Bank Financial Group. The team’s responsibilities and deliverables include management reporting, forecasting and planning, performance measurement and strategic business analysis.
Job Requirements- Skilled in financial planning, analytics and project costing / business cases.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑resolution, and organizational skills are required – able to provide clear and concise summaries of relevant data, observations and recommendations to management.
