Come join the Finance team at this exciting time as we have an opening for a Financial Analyst – Business Partner Support – Capital position.
What You Will DoThis position provides expertise, consultative advice, direction and guidance in financial planning and management support to an assigned Business Partner(s) and supporting the Business Partner’s senior management with translating their business strategies into accompanying multi-year business & financial plans, performance measures and targets.
You will be assessing, analyzing and interpreting large quantities of data and information to support decision‑making, budgeting, scenario modelling, accurate reporting, financial controls and corporate policies. In addition you will be working with the Business Partner to ensure appropriate understanding of and providing advice on the proper application and compliance with corporate financial planning & budgeting policies, practices, controls and deadlines.
The position also requires you to develop the Business Partner’s annual Operating Budget or 10‑Year Capital Budget & Plan, calendarization of forecasted expenditures, monthly expenditure reporting and forecasting and determine and incorporate Operating Budget impacts from Capital project in all budgets and forecasts.
You will be conducting research and financial analysis; supporting financial analysis for business cases; and creating findings reports and presentations as needed. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reporting in accordance with corporate formats and deadlines for the Business Partner’s senior management and Finance, and identifying risks and opportunities for management of their Operating or Capital budgets. You will be monitoring in‑year expenditures, evaluating variances compared to approved budgets, forecasts and performance measures, analysing root causes and recommending mitigating strategies to departmental management in a timely manner.
As the Financial Analyst you will be developing financial summaries for TTC Board Reports, and reviewing with Finance and Business Partner’s senior management, and obtaining all necessary approvals.
