The Capital Markets arm of CIBC serves corporate, government, and institutional clients with innovative solutions and value‑added services. As the Associate, Business Management, Global Markets, you’ll support day‑to‑day business activities in Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC), Global Markets Financing (GMF), and Financial Resource Management (FRM).

Key duties include:

• Assist in business initiatives, maintain project plans, and support Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRAs).
• Help prepare leadership presentations, respond to ad‑hoc requests, and coordinate activities across stakeholders.
• Resolve day‑to‑day issues and support initiatives impacting top and bottom lines.

• Support coordination of governance, risk, and control activities across GMF & FRM and FICC.
• Assist with governance inventories, user access reviews, contract management, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and document issues and incidents.

• Support expense tracking, invoice allocation, and approvals.
• Prepare reporting to aid business decisions.
• Contribute to financial presentations, reporting packages, and ad‑hoc analyses.

• Build relationships across teams and facilitate communication.
• Track actions and deliverables, ensuring project timelines.
• Bring structure, organization, and accountability to ongoing priorities.

• Minimum 2years experience in capital markets or a corporate development function.
• Undergraduate degree required; MBA/CFA/CA considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, business effectiveness, strategic initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (advanced Excel an asset).
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Goal‑oriented, self‑starter, and committed to collective success.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex information.
• Digital savvy and adaptable to evolving technologies, including AI tools.
