AVP of Settlements Operations

Join Jefferies as an AVP in Settlements Operations, leading trade management in Toronto. This critical role centers on your back office expertise, enhancing operations in Canadian and US markets.

In this position, you will supervise day-to-day transactions within the Canadian broker dealer framework. Your responsibilities include managing client interactions, ensuring efficient trade settlements, and collaborating with internal teams to mitigate risks and enhance processes. You will play a vital role in shaping operational standards and adding value to client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily settlement and pre-matching processes

• Provide excellent client service for transaction queries

• Act as liaison with operational teams for issue resolution

• Facilitate borrowing and financing with Securities Finance team

• Participate in internal and external audits and reviews

Requirements:

• 5+ years in settlements/operations role

• Experience in Canadian and US trade processing

• Background in dual listed securities and firm trading flows

• Preference for Broadridge product knowledge

• Familiar with CIRO regulations and local rules
