Position: CI Financial Fund Taxation Director Role

In your pivotal role at CI Financial, you'll utilize your 5-7 years of experience in fund taxation to coordinate tax compliance and reporting for mutual funds and ETFs. You will ensure the preparation and filing of tax returns, maintain documentation for diverse tax forms, and support cross-functional teams in tax-related projects. Your strong analytical skills are vital for navigating constantly evolving tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage preparation and review of fund tax distributions

• Assist in filing T3, T5, and NR4 tax returns

• Ensure documentation and compliance with CRA regulations

• Collaborate on fund launches and support product teams

• Mentor junior staff and liaise with external tax advisors

Requirements:

• 5-7 years experience in fund taxation or accounting

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred

• Knowledge of Canadian tax reporting standards

• Expertise in CCH iFirm Taxprep and Excel

• Excellent analytical and communication skills
