Director of Risk Oversight

Position: Director of Risk Oversight at Scotiabank
Lead Scotiabank's enterprise risk oversight as the Director of Balance Sheet Risk. Focus on managing IRRBB and SFX risks while enhancing team collaboration and effectiveness.

As Director, you will provide independent review and challenge of Group Treasury's activities, ensuring comprehensive governance in risk management. Your leadership will deliver insights to senior management and support decision-making aligned with the bank's risk appetite. The role demands strong engagement with regulators and extensive industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead independent oversight of IRRBB and SFX risks

• Review and challenge hedging strategies and fund transfer pricing

• Oversee stress testing and scenario analysis integrity

• Drive data analytics initiatives for operational resilience

• Engage with global regulators on audits and reviews

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in finance or risk management

• Minimum 10 years of banking industry experience

• Strong expertise in ALM and hedge accounting

• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders

• Experience engaging with regulators and auditors
