SOX Compliance Consultant

Position: SOX Compliance Consultant Contract Role
Support SOX compliance efforts with a 6-month contract as a Consultant. Engage in risk assessments and control evaluations to enhance internal controls and reporting.

In this role, you will support the planning and execution of the annual SOX compliance program. Your responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, control testing, and process walkthroughs, along with evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to bolster internal controls and champion continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support annual SOX compliance program planning

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and control testing

• Evaluate the design of internal controls for effectiveness

• Review control documentation and process narratives

• Prepare compliance reports and manage SOX deliverables

Requirements:

• CPA designation is mandatory

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years relevant experience in SOX compliance

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Must reside in Greater Toronto Area
