Senior Manager, IB GBM Capital Markets (Bilingual Spanish)
Requisition
Purpose
Responsible for the credit execution, transaction structuring and ongoing monitoring of a global portfolio of bank counter parties. The portfolio includes regional banks, broker dealers, pension funds, insurance companies and other International Banking – Global Banking and Market (IB GBM) financial institution counter parties.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing credit and execution support for marketers/product teams and traders, processing limit requests within the requested timeline.
- Serve as the primary service contact for onboarding, credit execution and maintenance of IB GBM relationships for the assigned portfolio.
- Monitor market news, events and industry developments that may impact credit quality and conduct ad‑hoc in‑depth analysis of credit‑related issues.
- Oversee and monitor overrun reports from back offices to detect trading and limit overruns, assisting in exception reporting and resolution.
- Liaise with Global Risk Management, International Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Counter party Credit Risk, Market Risk Management, Legal, Tax, Finance, Compliance, Global Wholesale Services, Global Capital Markets Documentation and other execution teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Prior banking experience in a credit or execution‑related role; exposure to Latin America, Europe or Asia is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis, lending practices and financial markets.
- Understanding of trade finance and derivative products in relation to credit risk.
- Familiarity with ISDA/CSA and other trading and credit documentation, and knowledge of market practice/standard acceptable terms.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage a portfolio of counter parties across varied jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
- Interpersonal and time‑management skills, with a strong aptitude for understanding and managing operational risks.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Support IB‑GBM / GCM Trading Desks globally and work with multiple trading and client management systems (ALGO, C360, Corr Risk, Salesforce).
- Negotiation and review of documentation for related transactions for BNS, SCI, SBE, SBI, BNSAL and SCUSA.
- Spanish language proficiency (required).
- University or post‑graduate education; MBA or CFA is considered an asset.
Work Arrangement
Standard office‑based environment; non‑standard hours are common. No travel required.
