Job Description
There is a pre‑identified candidate for this role.

The successful candidate will support TDAM’s multi‑asset trading team. Analysis of trading activities includes electronic and voice execution for listed and OTC instruments across multiple asset classes (options, futures, FX, commodities, currency, swaps, interest rate derivatives). The associate works collaboratively to expand analytical capabilities, perform administrative tasks related to derivative trading, and reduce trade costs.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of real‑time developments in global financial markets and stay up to date on changing regulatory environment.

Perform quantitative analysis and evaluation of market data, including TCA, to support trading strategy decisions.

Assist the Derivatives Trading Team across projects: broker vote enhancement, FX TCA reporting, trade optimization, collateral reporting analysis, FX option reporting enhancement, commodity broker revenue analysis, low‑touch execution automation.

Develop and maintain relationships with trading counter parties and vendors.

Work with portfolio managers to address needs with respect to derivatives products.

Assist with increasing efficiency and effectiveness of technology initiatives and functional enhancements related to derivative trading.

Help expand trading capabilities into new products and/or asset classes.

Qualifications And Skills

High attention to detail and accuracy in fast‑paced environments.

Knowledge of derivative products and financial markets.

Awareness of market structure developments and trading‑related technology.

Capability to analyze complex data sets and make inferences.

Comfortable with complex workflow processes.

Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and rapidly changing markets.

Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

Team player or capable of independent work.

Proficient in VBA and working knowledge of other programming languages.

Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.

Adaptability to upgrade procedures and technology to meet changing needs.

Educational Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate degree focused on financial engineering or quantitative disciplines.

Completion of the CFA program is an asset but not required.
