As an Associate Mortgage Underwriter, you will report to the Manager of Third Party Residential Underwriting.
Your role will involve reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines, and escalating issues that could present risk. A strong focus on service excellence and relationship building will be key to your success in this fast-paced role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish relationships with mortgage brokers to foster loyalty
• Collect required documents for mortgage commitments
• Verify accuracy of documentation related to loans
• Escalate documentation issues for further review
• Maintain detailed notes within the underwriting system
Requirements:
• Completed post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in Financial Services preferred
• Familiarity with the Mortgage industry is a plus
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with PC software, especially Microsoft Office
