Position: Quantitative Portfolio Analyst Role
Step into a challenging role as a Quantitative Portfolio Analyst at 1832 Asset Management in Toronto, Ontario. Focus on leveraging financial modeling and trade ideation to enhance investment performance.

As part of the Quanta mental & Derivatives team, you will cover U.S. large and mid-cap equities, generating actionable trade ideas.

Your role will encompass complex valuations and integrating alternative data into your analysis. Ideal candidates will be those eager to excel in both qualitative and quantitative investment techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate trade ideas through equities and derivatives analysis

• Develop and deliver macro-driven industry reports

• Analyze alternative data sources for model improvements

• Create and maintain crucial financial datasets

• Collaborate with analysts for trading insights

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in investment research and recommendations

• Deep knowledge of macroeconomic and cross-asset factors

• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Python

• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, or similar
