The
Head of Finance will serve as the strategic and operational leader for all financial functions, combining high-level strategy with hands-on oversight of accounting, treasury, and portfolio analytics. This role is responsible for capital formation, managing investor relationships, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. You will lead forecasting and modeling, refine credit and underwriting frameworks, and implement scalable systems to support a high-growth environment.
Working closely with the CEO and
cross-functional teams, you will align financial insights with business decisions to drive profitability and expansion.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & PlanningDevelop and execute financial strategy to support company growth, profitability, and expansion initiatives.Advise the CEO and executive team on forecasting, scenario planning, and business performance.Support corporate planning and the development of new financial products.Capital, Funding & TreasuryManage investor and capital partner relationships
, including experience in securing and maintaining these partnerships.Oversee credit facilities
, ensure covenant compliance
, and lead liquidity planning and capital allocation
.Manage day-to-day treasury functions
, including cash management and the preparation of reporting packages for lenders and investors.Financial Operations & ReportingOversee all accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, payroll) and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial statements and internal reporting packages.Maintain audit readiness
, coordinate tax filings, and ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.Portfolio, Credit & Risk AnalyticsMonitor portfolio performance
, including repayment trends, delinquency rates, and risk-adjusted returns.Oversee provisioning, credit modeling, and loss forecasting while refining credit policies and scoring models.Develop robust reporting frameworks for portfolio risk and performance analytics.Team Leadership & ExcellenceBuild, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.Promote accountability, transparency, and strong financial discipline across the organization.Support the adoption of scalable tools, fintech systems, and lending platforms

Key Qualifications8+ years of senior finance experience
, specifically within fintech, lending, private credit
, or financial services.CPA, CFA, MBA
, or a similar professional credential.Proven experience with loan portfolios, debt facilities
, and managing lender/investor relationships.Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting
, and senior-level analytical decision-making.Strong knowledge of GAAP
, financial reporting standards, and Canadian regulatory requirements.Demonstrated ability to build financial strategy for high-growth organizations
