Lead financial innovation at the Safehaven Project for Community Living as the Finance Director in Toronto. Drive financial integrity and oversee a hybrid finance model to support growth.
With over 35 years of experience, Safehaven is expanding and modernizing its finance operations. The Finance Director will own financial reporting and planning, ensuring accurate external submissions and effective FP&A. Key skills required include financial oversight, analytical capability, and expertise in not-for-profit finance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own outsourced accounting relationships and financial outputs
• Ensure compliance with Ministry and funder reporting
• Lead annual budgeting and financial forecasting
• Drive modernization through automation and technology
• Oversee philanthropy financial operations and reporting
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of finance experience in non-profit sector
• 3+ years in senior finance leadership roles
• Proficiency in Quick Books or similar accounting systems
• Strong knowledge of Canadian not-for-profit standards
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders
