BMO Capital Markets New Grad Investment Banking Analyst

Overview

As an Investment Banking Analyst at BMO Capital Markets, you will support a range of financial products—including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory—across multiple industries. The role is part of the Global Investment Banking Training and Development Program, which begins in July 2027 and focuses on core investment banking skills such as accounting, valuation, financial modeling, and pitch book development.

• Perform valuation analyses for client transactions.
• Build and maintain complex financial models.
• Conduct in‑depth company and industry research and analysis.
• Develop client presentations and pitch material.
• Draft internal and external marketing memoranda.
• Support client relationships and business development activities.

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Field of study must be finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4/4.0.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proven leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
• High work ethic, proactivity, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment and communicate effectively.

Target base salary of $100,000 in Toronto, with potential performance‑based incentives. The role is salaried and may include a commission structure depending on the position.
