Key Responsibilities
  • Perform user acceptance testing for projects of varying complexity, including developing & managing test strategy, creating & reviewing test cases, executing cases, escalating issues, logging outcomes, facilitating defect meetings, reviewing and validating defect resolutions, and developing exit reports.
  • Develop UAT solutions and make recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Advise and guide business groups on implementation of UAT solutions.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of end‑to‑end business processes and project requirements through close partnership with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate parties to execute overall test plan, including identifying participants, estimating UAT cycle, determining schedule, prioritizing tests, monitoring progress, and escalating as required.
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context during design, development and implementation of UAT solutions.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in change‑management activities of varying scope and type.
  • Analyze data and information to provide UAT insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure development teams’ unit testing practices are in place and confirm core criteria meet before integrated testing.
  • Proactively provide improvement opportunities to enhance customer experience.
  • Drive testing automation capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen QA capability, such as sharing expertise, mentoring employees, building communities of practice and networks.
  • Stay abreast of industry technical and business trends through professional associations and practice communities.
  • Use judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Work independently on complex tasks, including unique situations.
  • Monitor and track UAT performance results and address issues.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Typically between 5–7 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Delivery Framework.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • In‑depth verbal & written communication skills.
  • In‑depth collaboration & team skills.
  • In‑depth analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • In‑depth influence skills.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to network and establish industry relationships.

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed represents BMO’s expected target for the first year in this position.
