Position: Senior Tax Services Specialist at CIBC

As a Senior Specialist, you will work closely with the Director of Tax Services to oversee new and junior staff while preparing complex tax returns for Estate and Trust accounts. Your expert knowledge in tax compliance and planning will ensure the timely and accurate completion of returns while fostering relationships with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and train junior tax staff effectively

• Prepare complex tax returns for estates and trusts

• Assess compliance requirements and organize necessary information

• Build client relationships and address taxation issues

• Participate in special projects as needed

Requirements:

• CPA/CA designation and current tax credentials

• Degree or diploma in accounting

• Experience with T1, T3, and terminal returns

• Strong communication and writing skills

• Familiarity with tax research practices
