Associate, FX & Markets Sales

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Treasury Customer Section Co-Chief, Global Markets and Treasury Department Americas Division-Marketing Group, the Sales Analyst provides support for marketing and customer support functions.
• Service SMBC's FX and Money Market customers in North America and Japan as needed.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and concerns and communicate feedback to desk.
• Transact Money Market and FX transactions via phone, email, and e-platforms.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Banking, Trading and Lending preferred
• Business fluency in English, Japanese (is an asset but not required)
• Functional knowledge and understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of Foreign Exchange, Money Markets (including REPO) and Fixed Income products
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills including familiarity with VBA, SQL, and other coding languages.

Demonstrates expertise in Financial Services with a focus on Foreign Exchange and Money Markets, complemented by strong analytical skills and familiarity with regulatory requirements. Proficient in customer interaction and transaction processing across various platforms.
