Director of Model Risk Management

Lead model risk management efforts at RBC as a Director in Toronto. This pivotal role requires expertise in model validation and financial crime compliance, ensuring regulatory adherence and efficient deployment.

The Director, Financial Crimes Model Risk Management will integrate model risk practices within a large development team. Key responsibilities include guiding model development, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring the quality of documentation and controls. You will manage performance monitoring and provide strategic insights to senior management regarding model risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Embed MRM considerations in development from start to finish

• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies

• Maintain the Transaction Monitoring Development Playbook

• Review model documentation and validation materials

• Oversee model performance and conduct root-cause analysis

Requirements:

• 10+ years in financial services

• 5+ years in MRM or model validation

• Experience in GSIB or large bank environments

• Knowledge of SR 11-7 and SR 26-2

• Stakeholder management and technical experience
