Global Wealth Asset Operations Risk Director

Drive operational risk management at Manulife's Global Wealth and Asset Management division as the Director of Operations Risk Management. This hybrid role focuses on enhancing risk control self-assessment programs across Asia.

Your leadership will be vital in supporting the COO Asia in ensuring effective risk mitigation strategies are in place. With your extensive experience in asset classes including fixed income and private equity, you will lead initiatives to document and rectify risks and enhance operational practices. This role also requires significant travel to engage with international teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Risk Control Self-Assessments framework rollout

• Conduct risk documentation and create actionable plans

• Formulate Key Risk Indicators for risk tracking

• Analyze and respond to risk incidents and losses

• Evaluate impacts of change initiatives on the risk landscape

Requirements:

• 5+ years in risk management or equivalent fields

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and risk factors

• Proven ORM knowledge and self-assessment proficiency

• Strong relationship management capabilities

• English and Mandarin fluency, with travel across Asia
