Position: Audit Manager II, Financial Crimes, High Risk Areas (1062)

Position Overview

The position of Audit Manager II, Financial Crimes Audit, High Risk Areas resides within the Financial Crimes Centre of Excellence of TD's Audit Department. The Audit Manager II is a Financial Crime Professional, resilient, dynamic, trusted advisor, relationship manager, people manager and adaptive leader with knowledge and experience in facets of the Financial Crime Risk Management Program, including technology, data, models and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

The role supports the Associate Vice President and Senior Audit Group Manager with the management of the Financial Crimes Audit Program, conducting audits of internal control systems to determine effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements, delivering audit findings, issue management, audit planning, risk assessment, and ad‑hoc projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and management of the Financial Crimes Audit Program, including conducting audits of internal control systems.
  • Assess financial crime internal controls and manage issue resolution.
  • Plan audits, perform risk assessment and develop audit strategies.
  • Lead and coordinate audit engagements as Auditor in Charge (AIC), supervising a team of auditors.
  • Collaborate with other audit groups (Models, Information Technology, Business Segment) to conduct audits across the bank.
  • Execute ad‑hoc projects and strategic initiatives related to financial crime risk management.
Qualifications
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience and an undergraduate degree.
  • Relevant professional certifications and accounting designations.
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes, risk, change, project methodologies, organizational practices, and business transformation.
  • Proficiency in audit, monitoring, testing, quality assurance and quality control.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and people‑management skills, project management and ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Ability to write and review audit findings and reports.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, and proficiency in data management controls, information technology, models and data analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial Crime designations such as CAMS, CFE, FIS, CFCS.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Crimes regulations (AML, ATF, sanctions), FATF recommendations, FINTRAC guidelines, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in Customer Due Diligence, KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence, risk rating, investigations, sanctions, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with transaction monitoring, large cash transaction reports, electronic funds transfer reports, terrorist property reports, suspicious transaction reports.
