Fraud Lead at Rakuten Kobo

Join Rakuten Kobo in Toronto as a Fraud Lead on a 12-month contract. You'll protect our e-commerce platform from fraud while optimizing detection strategies and analyzing trends.

This full-time role focuses on overseeing payment gateway fraud detection and establishing KPIs to effectively manage fraud risks. As a key member of the Risk Management team, you'll need at least five years of experience in fraud analysis in e-commerce and a strong understanding of payment systems. Your keen attention to detail and analytic skills will be crucial for identifying trends and patterns in fraudulent activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor payment gateway fraud detection engines daily

• Optimize fraud detection rulesets and reduce false positives

• Develop a comprehensive fraud strategy for various platforms

• Review RFPs and identify fraud detection engine opportunities

• Collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a Fraud Analyst in e-commerce

• Proficient in managing fraud engine rules

• Strong background in payment transactions

• Analytical skills to identify fraud patterns

• Experience with Python or SQL for data tasks
