Experienced Mortgage Underwriter - BMBE Division

Join First National as an Experienced Residential Mortgage Underwriter in the BMBE Division, where your credit decision-making skills will influence mortgage processes. Focus on building strong relationships while managing high volumes of applications.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Third Party Residential Underwriting and be responsible for reviewing customer applications against company guidelines. Your experience will help maintain a consistent workflow while ensuring service excellence and adherence to due diligence protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adjudicate and review incoming mortgage applications

• Build loyalty with mortgage brokers through engagement

• Interact with insurers to finalize credit decisions

• Issue commitments with appropriate conditions

• Stay current with industry trends and guidelines

Requirements:

• At least 2 years in mortgage underwriting

• Relevant post-secondary education or work experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office

• Demonstrated organizational skills under high pressure
