Duration: 8 Months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Bilingual Senior Manager, Retail Credit Risk Modernization - Spanish to support the strategy design, coordination and implementation of strategic projects to ensure effective execution.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role
  • Leading and supporting the implementation of initiatives within Retail Credit Risk Transformation, a program that spans Retail credit risk, including different portfolios within International Business.
  • Coordinating with partners and appropriate stakeholders to identify opportunities, enable alignment across teams throughout all stages of development and execution, and drive efficiencies and consolidate disparate processes for timely program execution.
  • Using agile methods to complete projects despite changing priorities; escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensuring project adherence to schedules by supporting activities and stakeholders.
  • Aligning individual working teams within the overall program framework.
  • Clearly communicating scope, outcomes, and deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Identifying automation opportunities within Retail Credit Risk Transformation then supporting the design and implementation of sustainable solutions.
  • Maintaining detailed project files for retention, quality assurance and audits.
  • Championing a high‑performance environment and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
  • Supporting the Director, Retail Credit Risk Transformation in obtaining stakeholder and senior management alignment and engagement and ensuring the success of strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting and contributing to additional initiatives related to the modernization of Retail Credit Risk, as well as other ad‑hoc projects as required.
  • Actively pursuing effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with the bank’s values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Must‑Have Skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written) is required.
  • 5‑7 years of banking experience, ideally within risk management functions.
  • Experience leading and executing large‑scale transformation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the Bank’s Retail Credit Risk segments, including policies and processes, servicing models, distribution channels and products.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and related presentation software.
Nice‑To‑Have Skills
  • Experience in credit risk for small business and retail.
  • Knowledge of fraud / first‑party fraud.
  • Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Education

Post‑secondary education:
University degree or equivalent experience, Master’s degree.

PMP certification.
