About the Opportunity
Are you a collaborative finance leader looking to make a meaningful impact? Our client, a well-established not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations while helping drive the organization's long-term success and sustainability.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, you'll work closely with leaders across the organization to provide strategic financial guidance, strengthen financial processes, and mentor a dedicated finance team. Your Responsibilities
- You'll lead the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong financial controls.
- You'll mentor and develop the Finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- You'll oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting, including audits, statutory filings, and funding reports.
- You'll partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning.
- You'll identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance internal controls.
- You'll provide financial insights and recommendations that support organizational goals and informed decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive management experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Experience with government funding, ministry reporting, or contribution agreements is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Quick Books is an asset.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
