Associate Mortgage Underwriter

Become a vital part of First National as an Associate Mortgage Underwriter in Toronto. Use your diligence in reviewing mortgage documentation while building strong relationships with mortgage brokers.

This full-time opportunity reports to the Manager of Third Party Residential Underwriting.

Your role will involve supporting underwriting processes and ensuring complete documentation for mortgage commitments. Experience in the financial services sector or mortgage industry is preferred along with a relevant post-secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships with mortgage brokers for loyalty

• Verify accuracy of documentation for mortgage conditions

• Collect required documents to meet mortgage commitment

• Escalate documentation issues for further review

• Document clear notes in the underwriting system

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Preference for experience in Financial Services

• Asset:
Previous Mortgage industry experience

• Knowledge of Windows software required

• Completion of Mortgage Agent Course an asset
