Stone Ridge Insurance Brokers is seeking an experienced M&A Financial Analyst who excels at analyzing acquisition opportunities, preparing financial models and valuations, and coordinating with stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in supporting due diligence and deal execution, translating complex financial information into actionable insights and recommendations, and building strong relationships with acquisition partners, all within a collaborative culture that values professional growth and continuous learning.

Job Type: Hybrid (2 days in office), Full Time, Permanent
Pay:
Starting from $95,000 annually

What You Will Do:
  • Prepare financial models and valuations to assess acquisition opportunities and support investment decisions, including normalization adjustments and synergy analysis.
  • Support deal execution by preparing NDAs, letters of intent, and financial analyses while coordinating the flow of information throughout the acquisition process.
  • Conduct financial due diligence by analyzing target company information, identifying key risks and opportunities, and communicating findings to support acquisition recommendations.
  • Oversee the collection, organization, and distribution of documents to ensure effective collaboration between internal teams, external advisors, and acquisition targets.
  • Partner with Legal, Operations, IT, Finance, Integration, and external advisors by providing financial information and responding to questions throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with acquisition targets by coordinating information requests, communicating transaction requirements, and serving as a trusted point of contact throughout the deal process.
  • Prepare and present executive presentations and ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, business development activities, and acquisition decision-making.
What You Bring:
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when preparing financial models, calculations, and presentations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence interacting with business owners, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, including keeping stakeholders informed and communicating workload concerns when needed.
  • Professionalism and sound judgment when handling confidential financial and business information.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business, with a focus on finance or accounting.
  • Two to three years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, or a similar transaction-focused environment.
  • Progress toward a CPA or CFA designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience preparing financial models, valuations, and financial analyses.
  • Understanding of the M&A lifecycle and overall transaction process.
  • Experience working in the insurance industry is an asset.
