Financial Analyst at BMO Capital Markets

Explore your analytical skills at BMO in Toronto as a Financial Analyst. This role focuses on accounting functions and management reporting within Merchant Banking while ensuring compliance and process improvement.

Under the guidance of the Manager, you will tackle day-to-day accounting functions for Merchant Banking entities. Key responsibilities include producing weekly estimates, managing journal entries, and performing reconciliations. You'll also support the Lead Financial Officer teams and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely journal entries in SAP S/4 HANA

• Analyze and report on financial performance for management

• Monitor and manage cash distribution wire transfers

• Conduct month-end close processes and reconciliations

• Identify discrepancies and expedite resolutions for vendor invoices

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of relevant financial experience

• Post-secondary degree in finance or related field

• CPA designation in progress

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
