An elite boutique investment bank is seeking an experienced M&A Associate to join its Generalist Advisory team in Toronto.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in both the origination and execution of transactions, working closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Support the origination and execution of new advisory mandates, with a focus on M&A transactions.
- Take ownership of key work streams across live transactions, managing projects from initial engagement through to successful completion.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during transaction execution.
- Prepare and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, pitch books, marketing materials, and client presentations.
- Mentor and support Analysts and other junior team members, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development.
- Partner closely with senior bankers to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Associate-level candidate with:
- At least 3 years of investment banking or M&A advisory experience without an MBA; or
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant investment banking experience following completion of an MBA.
- Previous experience gained at a leading investment bank or top-tier financial institution.
- Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams independently while collaborating effectively within a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with a client-focused approach.
