Become a vital part of the Corporate Actuarial team as an Associate Actuary at Foresters Financial. This hybrid role focuses on valuation reporting, regulatory support, and actuarial model governance.

The Associate Actuary will play a key role within the valuation team, ensuring timely quarterly valuations and effective communication of results. You will engage in implementing valuation models, supporting financial regulations, and enhancing documentation processes. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders like Finance and Risk will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate quarterly valuation reporting and management analysis

• Support regulatory reporting, MD&A, and financial statement analysis

• Lead detailed validation and implementation of valuation models

• Strengthen documentation and internal control practices

• Provide coaching to junior staff on valuation processes

Requirements:

• Qualified FCIA/FSA Actuary with relevant life insurance experience

• Strong understanding of Canadian IFRS
17 regulations

• Proficiency in actuarial tools, including AXIS and Excel

• Excellent communication skills with technical knowledge

• Interest in mentoring junior actuarial staff
