AboutThe Role .
The Sr. Financial Analyst ISC plays a critical role within the North America Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Finance team, supporting cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis across the region. This role is responsible for providing insights into operational and supply chain cost performance, supporting month-end and forecast processes, and partnering cross-functionally with finance and operations teams to drive data-based decision making.
The successful candidate will contribute to key ISC finance processes including variance reporting, standard cost updates, intercompany pricing, and annual budgeting activities while helping identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and process effectiveness.
This role can be based in Toronto, Ontario or Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick.
What You’ll Be Doing.- Conduct month-end variance reporting and analysis across key cost categories including commodity purchase price variance (PPV), logistics, and operations.
- Support quarterly forecasting processes for costs and variances, delivering accurate and timely financial insights.
- Coordinate monthly variance forecasts and present findings and recommendations to finance leadership.
- Analyze financial results against forecasts, budgets, and other benchmarks to identify key drivers and business impacts.
- Partner with NA FP&A, Business Unit Finance, and Plant Operations Finance teams to understand performance trends and explain cost variances.
- Assist with quarterly standard cost updates, intercompany pricing processes, and annual standard cost budgeting activities.
- Develop cost bridges and financial models that clearly explain changes in costs between reporting periods.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting structures, and overall efficiency within ISC Finance.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to the ISC Finance Manager by providing analytical support and actionable recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning, accounting, supply chain finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong interest and aptitude in finance, budgeting, cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with One Stream, SAP, or similar financial systems is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
- Prior experience within food manufacturing or a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
The Sr. Financial Analyst ISC is part of the North America ISC Finance team and reports to the Manager, NA ISC Finance. This team partners closely with FP&A, Business Unit Finance, Operations Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders across North America to provide financial leadership, analysis, and decision support. The role offers significant exposure to cross-functional teams and plays an important part in driving financial accountability and operational performance.
