Financial Analyst - Capital Planning & Reporting

Elevate your financial expertise with Toronto Hydro as a Financial Analyst in Capital Planning and Reporting. Support capital investments and optimize expenditure in a hybrid work environment.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Capital Accounting & Reporting, this role demands ongoing financial analysis, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulations. With a focus on IFRS and asset lifecycle management, you will partner with operational teams to provide insightful guidance for investment decisions and enhance financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze capital expenditures for accuracy and compliance

• Collaborate with teams on accounting and financial guidance

• Review project contracts for cost recovery assessments

• Support month-end and year-end reporting initiatives

• Implement enhancements to capital accounting processes

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of financial analysis experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Pursuing CPA designation; CPA holders preferred

• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (preferably SAP)

• Effective communication for both financial and non-financial stakeholders
