University Financial Officer

Position: University Financial Officer Role
Join the University of Toronto's Institute for Aerospace Studies as a Financial Officer, focusing on finance and payroll operations in a dynamic environment. This role is based in Downtown Toronto.

As the Financial Officer, you'll be integral to managing budgets and ensuring accurate financial transactions while supporting the faculty's goals. Reporting to UTIAS management, you'll handle diverse financial tasks, reinforcing compliance with university policies and aiding both analytical and operational functions within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial forecasts and budget reports

• Audit department expenditures for compliance

• Manage accounts related to grants and contracts

• Accurately record payroll and purchasing transactions

• Verify HRIS adherence to established protocols

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

• Minimum 3 years of financial administration experience

• Proficiency with financial management and reporting

• Familiarity with FIS and HRIS systems

• Excellent detail-oriented and communication skills
