Senior Consultant, Business Controls CIBC

Drive operational excellence at CIBC as a Senior Consultant in Business Controls within a hybrid work model. Leverage your risk management expertise to build trusted relationships and ensure compliance with key regulations.

In this senior consulting role, you will collaborate with Personal and Business Banking and Commercial Banking & Wealth Management units. Your primary focus will be on developing strong control environments and operating risk management processes. You will act as a subject matter expert to guide teams through risk assessments, deficiency remediation, and alignment with CIBC’s Control Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage relationships with LOB partners and stakeholders

• Proactively identify and analyze risk exposures

• Lead internal audits and compliance assessments

• Execute all requirements of the Control Framework

• Mentor team members and influence risk culture

Requirements:

• Experience in Business Controls or Operational Risk Management

• Knowledge of Compliance, Audit procedures

• Understanding of risk management frameworks and regulations

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Project Management experience preferred
