WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This is an exciting opportunity in the COO, CFO Group where you will play an instrumental role in coordinating the development of various automation solutions and web-based applications by leveraging RBC’s big data assets. This role will work with various stakeholders in helping to identify business problems and prioritize them to unlock business value. Our team consists of highly accomplished professionals with various backgrounds in computer science, data, Business analytics, accounting and finance to deliver innovative solutions that supports data-driven decisions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Play a central oversight and collaboration role across teams within the various Finance departments across the bank. This includes providing detailed data and analysis that will help other teams within the group enhance and transform their existing reporting processes and dialogue with key stakeholders.
- Apply design thinking and an agile mindset in working with business stakeholders to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new initiatives.
- Support data management processes - acquiring, transforming and storing massive volume of structured and unstructured data.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and develop and manage relationship with relevant stakeholders
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must-have
- Excellent problem solving and proven analytical skills, with a high degree of initiative
- Basic knowledge of programming in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading from a wide variety of data sources.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate multi-tasking skill
- Advance knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting & visualizations using Tableau or similar products
- Experience with Capital Markets, Personal & Commercial Banking, Wealth Management products and businesses
- Experience in RBC Finance/Risk’s big data projects.
