Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support global repo trading processes within the Global Markets line of business

Downtown Toronto - Hybrid (in office on Monday + Wednesday)

This contract position focuses on enhancing and maintaining systems supporting global repo trading desks within a large-scale banking environment. The role includes resolving integration issues, coordinating vendor rollouts, and partnering closely with trading, risk, and technology teams. It offers hands-on exposure to complex repo systems, cross-functional operations, and direct collaboration with key market participants.

Must Haves

  • 2–3 years working with Repo trading systems in a sell-side organization
  • Comprehensive understanding of Repo trade execution
    , collateral management
    , settlements
    , and tri-party trading
  • Exposure to outright bond trading and interest rate derivatives
  • Experience with platforms such as Bondfire
    , Broadridge Fin Pro/Impact/SFCM
    , Bloomberg TOMS
    , FIS Bond One
    , Calypso
    , Anvil
    , or Apex

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience developing productivity tools or applications using Python and Excel/VBA

    • Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support for global repo trading desks
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from Front/Middle/Back Office, Risk, Collateral Management, and Settlement teams
  • Participate in delivering enhancements aligned with business priorities
  • Support new vendor functionality rollout, including testing and coordination with stakeholders
  • Engage with technology and business contacts to maintain strong operational partnerships
  • Act as integration subject-matter expert across repo systems and external platforms
  • Resolve issues with external parties including vendors, clearing houses, and regulatory agencies
  • Participate in system upgrade and infrastructure validation activities
