The RoleWe're looking for an experienced Corporate Actions professional to join our Asset Services team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of voluntary corporate action events, ensuring client and counter party elections are processed accurately, deadlines are met, positions are reconciled, and payments are completed correctly. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, depositories, custodians, and counter parties to support a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment.
This position is ideal for someone with deep corporate actions expertise who enjoys solving complex operational issues and taking ownership of critical market events.
- Manage the end-to-end processing of voluntary corporate action events across multiple markets.
- Review and interpret corporate action announcements, identifying key dates, election options, and processing requirements.
- Reconcile security positions across internal systems, depositories, and custodians to ensure accurate event processing.
- Compile, validate, and submit client and counter party elections within prescribed deadlines.
- Monitor event life cycles and ensure all instructions are processed accurately and on time.
- Calculate, process, and verify corporate action payments, including applicable tax treatments and adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, payment discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
- Liaise with counter parties, custodians, depositories, and internal business partners regarding elections, entitlements, deadlines, and payment activity.
- Maintain strong partnerships with trading desks, operations teams, and support areas to ensure seamless event execution.
- Support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
- Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, risk controls, and internal operating procedures.
- Extensive experience processing voluntary corporate action events within Asset Servicing, Custody Operations, or Securities Operations.
- Strong understanding of the complete lifecycle of voluntary corporate actions, including elections, entitlements, payments, and reconciliation activities.
- Advanced knowledge of CDS and DTCC corporate action platforms, including CA Web and SMART/Track.
- Experience working with global custodians and depositories such as Euroclear, Clearstream, HSBC, BNP Paribas, and similar organizations.
- Strong understanding of SWIFT corporate action messaging.
- Knowledge of tax implications related to corporate action events.
- Advanced reconciliation, investigation, and analytical skills.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUPs, and large data-set analysis.
- Experience using Broadridge BPS.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
