This internship offers an exciting frontline experience on Wealthsimple’s Securities Lending desk. As an intern, you will manage high-volume trade execution and enhance workflow efficiency through automation projects. Engage with various stakeholders across departments while learning about the fintech industry and the securities finance market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute high-volume daily returns process for accurate settlements

• Ensure risk management through contract monitoring

• Collaborate with Treasury, Engineering, and other teams

• Offer support for daily desk functions as necessary

• Develop custom automation tools to improve efficiency

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program or a recent graduate

• Strong skills in SQL and Google Apps Script for automation

• Basic knowledge of financial markets and securities

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
