Role Overview
The Front Office Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the front desk, guest services, and related front office functions. You will lead a diverse team, manage daily operations, and ensure service standards are consistently met while balancing operational efficiency and guest needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day front office operations, including front desk, guest services, and related functions.
- Lead, schedule, and support a team of front office supervisors and associates to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Ensure a positive guest experience by proactively addressing guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery situations.
- Monitor room inventory, arrivals, departures, and VIP handling in coordination with housekeeping and revenue teams.
- Maintain compliance with brand standards, service procedures, and operational policies.
- Support staffing, training, onboarding, and performance management of front office team members.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and team members through ongoing feedback and development.
- Manage front office budgets, labour controls, and productivity metrics.
- Ensure accuracy in billing, cash handling, and front office reporting.
- Collaborate closely with housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and security to support overall hotel operations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to broader operational planning.
- Support emergency procedures and ensure team readiness for high-volume or irregular operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Front Office Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager role within a full-service hotel.
- Experience managing teams in a high-volume or complex operating environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a calm, professional presence.
- Solid understanding of front office systems, procedures, and guest service standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
