Job Description / description de l'emploi

The part-time banquet bartender maintains the highest standards possible for guests by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional bar service for banquet events.

The starting wage rate for this position is $25.98 per hour. After six months of employment, the rate will increase to $28.48 per hour, in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement.

Qualifications / qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working as bartender in banquets
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Strong guest service skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent working knowledge of liquors, cocktails, beers and wine
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must be 19 years of age or older and hold a valid Smart Serve certification
  • Strong communication skills in English. Additional language an asset.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift and push up to 25lbs
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Responsibilities / responsabilités

  • Properly setup and breakdown of area and service station
  • Prepare bar according to BEO for the event
  • Restock, replenish bar inventory, supplises in banquet cage/fridge as needed for current and future events
  • Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adherance to Omni standards
  • Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
  • Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is being served only to those patrons of legal drinking age
  • Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws
