Our client, a beautiful and first-class resort property in Canada, is seeking an outstanding Director of Conference Services and Events for their well-known luxury property.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Conference Services and Events department.
- Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term plans based on budgeted sales and profits, exceeding targets when possible.
- Train, supervise, and develop team members while building long‑term customer relationships to achieve sales objectives.
- Develop and implement effective marketing plans.
- Collaborate with Conference Services staff to solicit and book functions, plan merchandising, and execute events.
- Minimum of 5 years of luxury resort/hotel catering or conference services experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Holder of a CMP designation or currently in the process of obtaining one.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with a PMS and sales program.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, effective team leadership, and exceptional customer‑service skills.
Salary in the $85,000 range plus participation in an incentive bonus plan and an attractive package of additional company benefits. The role offers a great career opportunity within an upscale four‑season resort setting.
