Venue Manager

Position: Venue Manager at The Globe and Mail
Elevate event execution as a Venue Manager with The Globe and Mail in Toronto. This full-time role emphasizes client service and safety management across various events.

In this position, you will report to the Manager of Banquet and Event Services. Your responsibilities include overseeing events, ensuring adherence to health regulations, and managing client interactions. With a focus on service excellence, you will train and develop Venue Supervisors while handling logistical aspects to create memorable events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and secure premises for events

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Monitor client and attendee satisfaction

• Manage event setups, tear-downs, and cleanliness

• Authorized supervision of bartending and cash handling

Requirements:

• 5+ years in event and hospitality roles

• Strong leadership and training capabilities

• Extensive knowledge of event procedures

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Smart Serve certification and physical capacity for tasks
