Nutrition Aide Cold Food Assembly

Join the Nutrition Services team at Toronto General Hospital as a Nutrition Aide focused on cold food assembly. This part-time role supports meal preparation and enhances patient satisfaction through service.
You will play a vital role in the Nutrition Department, assembling meals based on specific requests. Key duties include retrieving food items, maintaining hygiene in your workspace, and transporting carts to various units in the hospital. Additionally, you'll participate in various cross-functional tasks to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately assemble meals on the assigned assembly line

• Stock and organize food supplies at workstations

• Clean and maintain the workspace and equipment

• Transport food carts to required locations inside the hospital

• Execute various duties as assigned for departmental success
Requirements:

• Completion of high school or recognized equivalent

• Food Handler’s/Hygiene Certificate (on-job certification available)

• 3 to 6 months experience in a related role

• Must have effective communication and multitasking abilities

• Ability to withstand cold working conditions
