Overview

Job Title: Workday HCM Analyst

Location: 100% Remote, Canada

Experience: 3+ years

Rate: $20 to $25 CAD PH

Summary:

Near Source is looking for a Workday HCM Analyst to support and optimize enterprise-scale people systems for a Fortune 500 product company. This role focuses on Workday configuration, security administration, and operational support, ensuring global people programs are delivered reliably and at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, configure, and optimize Workday HCM for a global employee population
  • Own day-to-day Workday production support, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution
  • Partner with People Experience, Payroll, Finance, Total Rewards, and IT teams to deliver configuration updates and break-fix support
  • Administer and maintain Workday security roles proactively and upon request
  • Research, identify, and resolve complex Workday issues, unexpected results, and process gaps
  • Perform and audit complex data uploads using Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs)
  • Support annual and off-cycle people events, including performance reviews, merit cycles, bonus processing, and job structure changes
  • Monitor Workday system performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency
  • Support Workday releases, enhancements, and system upgrades
  • Participate actively in user acceptance testing, documentation, and release validation
  • Provide guidance and support to end users on Workday-related questions and issues
  • Stay current with Workday features and industry trends through Workday Community, training, and forums
Must-Have Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Strong hands-on Workday configuration experience within Workday HCM
  • Solid experience with Workday Compensation configuration and support
  • Proven expertise in Workday Security administration
  • 3+ years of direct HRIS and Workday experience
  • Experience across two or more Workday functional areas such as HCM, Security, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, or Onboarding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Exposure to large-scale, global Workday implementations
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within HRIS or People Systems teams
