Kenaidan and Murphy are excited to announce a joint venture dedicated to bringing global innovation to infrastructure projects across Ontario. The Bloor‑Yonge Capacity Improvements Project is a significant undertaking by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to expand and modernize Bloor‑Yonge station – Canada’s busiest subway hub. This initiative is focused on meeting both current and future ridership needs by improving the station’s efficiency, capacity, and accessibility.

The Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV) is committed to transforming the station to enable faster, more reliable, and more comfortable travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The project will deliver upgraded facilities, contributing to a safer, cleaner, and higher‑capacity subway system for passengers.

Salary

Range between $80K‑110K, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Manage full‑cycle recruitment through to the pre‑offer stage for assigned roles, including proactive sourcing, pre‑screening, interviewing, presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, and supporting offer negotiations.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring strategies, and timelines in alignment with approved hiring plans and project schedules.
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to meet hiring needs, leveraging job boards, social media, professional networks, and search firms as required.
  • Prepare, post, and manage job advertisements across approved channels, including Linked In, Indeed, partner portals, and industry‑specific platforms.
  • Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for construction, technical, and project‑based roles.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to hiring managers throughout the interview and selection process to support informed hiring decisions.
  • Ensure equitable, transparent, and compliant recruitment practices aligned with partnership, governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Leverage Linked In and its recruitment tools (including Linked In Recruiter and recruiting campaigns) to build and maintain strong talent pipelines.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to manage multiple requisitions, candidate pipelines, recruitment data, dashboards, offer tracking, and onboarding workflows.
  • Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience for both successful and unsuccessful candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, recruitment events, and talent marketing activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment workflows, processes, and the overall candidate experience.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all documentation, compliance, and governance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from sourcing and candidate engagement through to the pre‑offer stage.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems.
